Hello.
I am writing to request the answer to the following questions please:
- In the last 5 years, how many wholetime job opportunities have been made available exclusively to on-call firefighters (fixed term or permanent)?
- During your last recruitment campaign, how many applications were received in total? How many of those were from ethnic minority backgrounds?
- How many of those ethnic minority applicants were successful in getting a wholetime job as a firefighter?

Good morning,
Thank you for your request for information which has been received by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (the Service) and considered under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000.
The Service can advise that the information is held and is as follows:
- In the last 5 years, how many wholetime job opportunities have been made available exclusively to on-call firefighters (fixed term or permanent)?
21, all of which have been fixed term contracts.
- During your last recruitment campaign, how many applications were received in total? How many of those were from ethnic minority backgrounds?
441 total, of which 36 (8%) were from ethnic minorities
- How many of those ethnic minority applicants were successful in getting a wholetime job as a firefighter?
