New look and responsiveness

Our new website is a refreshing upgrade on the old version, which was becoming quickly outdated and not suitable for the many ways people engage with Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service through digital technology.

The new layout, designed by Worcester Business School's Media Lab, is clearer and cleaner making it easier to read, easier to navigate your way around and easier to interact with your fire service.

The site is now responsive, meaning it automatically adapts for viewing on a tablet or smart phone. If you experience any problems with the formatting on your device, please contact us on info@hwfire.org.uk.

Home Fire Safety Check form

The new format allows us to develop online forms that enable you to quickly and simply send us a message by inputting your details directly onto the site. You can now use this method to request a Home Fire Safety Check and we are looking at other opportunities to use forms elsewhere on the site.

Events calendar

You can keep up to date with all that's going on across the Service via our new Events Calendar; everything from safety campaigns and on-call firefighter recruitment events to station open days. Visit the full calendar or see forthcoming events on the homepage.

Automatic news updates via RSS and Twitter

If you want to keep abreast of all the latest news and events updates, you can subscribe to receive an automatic update straight to your email via RSS Alerts. Follow our RSS guidance on how to set them up.

And don't forget, you can follow the Service's Twitter and Facebook accounts while Fire Control's regular tweets on operational updates are streamed on the homepage.

Feedback and future developments

The launch of our new website is not the end of an exciting project, but the beginning: we will be looking to improve and develop the site in a host of ways and keeping it up to date and relevant. If you have any suggestions on how we can make the site better, please feel free to contact us at info@hwfire.org.uk .
