Hoo Farm fire

Within the last three months, Kidderminster has experience two very significant industrial fires (both of which required in excess of 20 fire appliances to manage) and another four-pump attendance was required to deal with a fire in an industrial unit in the town at the weekend.

In this respect, it would seem a good time to remind business owners throughout the two counties of the importance of keeping their checks and maintenance routines up to date.

“By carrying out regular equipment and safety checks at their premises, business owners can much reduce the likelihood of any problems arising in the first instance,” said Station Commander Bob Sproat from Wyre Forest Fire Station.

“It’s worth remembering that it might not just be your business that’s affected – our crews had to work especially hard at Hoo Farm last week to prevent fire from spreading to neighbouring buildings and making a dreadful situation even worse.”
