There will be lots to remember for businesses which are reopening on Monday, 12 April after three months of lockdown.

But in amongst all the excitement of trying to start to get our lives back to the new normal, don’t forget to make sure that everyone stays safe.

“It’s vital that businesses ensure that their Fire Risk Assessment is up to date and has taken into account any changes that have been made due to Covid protocols,” said Group Commander George Marshall of the Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service Community Risk department.

“Staff and visitors should also be made aware of any changes to fire evacuation procedures and trained accordingly.

“And don’t forget to check that fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers have been tested and maintained before using the premises.”
