At 9pm on 15 February, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service attended a house fire at Meadow Court in Droitwich.
The first crew were met with a fire on the first floor of a terraced house with one person reported missing.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus quickly entered the property and rescued a 37-year-old woman from a bedroom.
Despite receiving advanced trauma care at the scene and being quickly transported by ambulance, it has now been confirmed that the woman has sadly died.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by our specialist Fire Investigation Officers.
