Change your clocks and test your smoke alarms!

The Fire Kills campaign is reminding people that we should all be testing our smoke alarms when we’re changing our clocks this weekend (Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October) – it could save your life.

Crews were called to a house off Alcester Road in Feckenham yesterday evening (Monday 22 October) after reports that excessive smoke was escaping from a woodburner at the property and spreading through the rest of the house.

Vintage horse drawn manual fire pump heading to national museum

A rare vintage horse drawn manually-pumped fire engine will be heading from the fire station in Ledbury to join the Fire Service’s national museum collection – Fireworld - in Northamptonshire next week. The FireWorld museum is a registered charity and has been building up the largest collection of historic firefighting vehicles and equipment in the United Kingdom and is aiming to open to the public in late 2013.
